January Sixteen - Here For You

Scottish outfit January Sixteen are releasing a single on 16th January (coincidence?) and 'Here For You' is a brooding post-Grunge slice of rock that you'll all want a piece of. Pixies-esque bass and drums get things going before a rambling guitar melody joins in and then come the moody vocals pitched somewhere between Gavin Rossdale and Eddie Vedder. The near six-minute odyssey builds and builds with relentless energy until you're faced with a giant wall of distorted guitars and all you want is for it to collapse all around you in glorious chaos. An intense way to start the year. Intense but brilliant.
