From the stable of the excellent Bristol collective the Scribes comes Jonny Steele with his new single 'X1 to Netanya'. Mellow keys and a sparse beat get things going before Steele's spoken word flow joins in to set the world to rights, taking on the atrocities in Israel and Gaza in his languid stride and pulling zero punches. I wouldn't be surprised if this track had come together in one take such is the eloquence and unbridled rage meted out by Jonny Steele all with calm but unblinking focus. Vital stuff.
