Tis a bold move to name your song after the god of mischief but Harbottle & Jonas have decided to poke that particular bear so hopefully it pleases the gods in general. And it should do because 'Loki' finds the Devon duo in fine form with moodily tangled guitar notes building rapidly with an urgent beat to create a song full of energy and more than a little panic. There's a real sense of movement to this one but it's too folky for a city car chase so you find yourself picturing a hasty horse race across rough moorland under the belly of dark skies. Harbtottle & Jonas are a duo made for cold autumn nights and warm, welcoming nights in small pubs so enjoy this track and then get out to see them if you can.
