The latest 90s act to make their presence felt on 2023 is Liverpudlian supergroup Cast with their excellent new single 'Love Is The Call'. As with recent releases from Ash and Feeder, Cast seem to be exploring the heavier end of their musical spectrum with guitars that sound like the band have invented rock-skiffle. The vocal harmonies are like an homage to the Beatles but the road-trippin' vibes are classic Cast and I look forward to hearing this one drift across festival fields in 2024. A few lead-guitar flourishes and an itchy energy that is designed to make you move give this a sprinkling of stardust so get ready for some fun with these lads in the coming months.
