Scottish singer-songwriter NATI. has dropped the Dreddd from her name to join the ranks of mononymous artists that always seem to do so well. NATI.'s first release under her shortened title is new single 'Open Road', an instantly infectious and arresting track that initially features a clicked beat and sparse guitars under some beautiful rich folk-pop vocals. The chorus doesn't so much explode as blossom as strings swoon, the beat drives more and you take a big, deep breath before picking a direction at the cross-roads and striding on in to new territory. There's a sense of freedom to this track and that is not always easy to come by so we should treasure it when we find it.
