Brighton outfit The Wytches have joined the Alcopop family and, ahead of their new album, they're dropping new single 'Maria' and it is quite something. Along with the accompanying moody video, this track sets a tone which is very much 'The Monkees hang out with Charles Manson for a year' as the dark guitars and lurching rhythms draw you in. The vocals tell otherworldly tales and the song builds to a cacophonous climax that you'd do well to just bathe yourself in.
