Just when you thought the Vanity Project were all out of ideas (as if), they come and drop their new single 'EPOCH' which is, for want of a better phrase, quite the banger. A thumping, almost disco beat and guitars that remind of Eels and LCD Soundsystem are stitched together by a bass line that I could do filthy things with. In fact, the whole song and video combination along with the chorus of "dance to the beat of our epoch" and general joie de vivre makes this one of my favourite releases of 2023. There, I said it, and I don't care who knows it.
