The inimitable talents of Jamie Yost are on display again as part of his new single 'Nightmares' and, quite honestly, I don't know what else I need to say about this talented man to get you to pay attention. Moody, late-night guitar notes wend and weave through the dark before being joined by Yost's trademark gravelly, soulful vocal that could grace almost any genre (Heavy Metal not included). The real sit-up-and-pay-attention moment, however, comes just before the halfway mark as a driving beat kicks in, transforming this in to the kind of stadium filling track that the likes of Harry Styles and Lewis Capaldi would sell their souls for. A peerless and prodigious talent, for sure, but how long are you willing to sleep on it?
