Plymouth troubadour Gozer Goodspeed released latest single 'Vagus Nerve' from his latest album and any stragglers need to start paying attention. The smoky, blues infused guitars soon get a shot in the arm from a slamming drum beat and Goodspeed's distinctive vocals sneering in with both wisdom and cynicism. The chorus adds a little growl and grunge to those guitars but you can't deny the blues is at the heart of this one and heart is the key word here - this is victory for balancing style and substance perfectly.
