Chubby Cat - 21st Century Panic Attack

Ireland's music scene has stepped it up a level this year and the latest artist from the Emerald Isle to grace my inbox is the superbly named Chubby Cat. '21st Century Panic Attack' bubbles and squelches with a lo-fi 90s energy but then the vocals go and pitch themselves somewhere between B*Witched and Alanis Morissette and the whole thing is tilted on its head. "Tell me everybody can you feel it? A 21st Century Panic Attack" is the chorus lyric delivered with delicate calmness but you can also imagine this being sang back at the stage by a crowd of adoring new fans in festival tents all over the place. One to keep an eye on, for sure.
