'Checkmate' is the new release from Welsh alt-soul sensation Nia Wyn and it comes ahead of a hotly anticipated new EP and a string of high profile live dates. A super chilled beat and mellow, woozy keys set the vibe as a lights down low end of day affair dealing with the complications and intricacies of a relationship. Wyn's vocal is reliably soulful but with her unmistakable tone that is part Amy Winehouse, part Paloma Faith and a whole lot of Nia Wyn.
