Apart from spawning global superstars Muse, Teignmouth isn't known for it's musical output but now we have Music Channel coming hot on their heels - despite having an almost un-Googlable band name. The quartet's new single 'Be My Valentine' gets underway with a sombre jangling guitar riff and shuffling beat but then the Stevie Nicks-esque vocals come rasping in to steal the show. A string sound and melodic guitars make the song swell but that voice still punches through to be heard above everything else. There's promise here and ideas which, although raw and unpolished, show something to be really excited about.
