Golly gosh, this might just be one of the best things I've heard this year, and no mistake. Korean-British duo Wooze unleash new single 'Witch Slap (IOU)' on an unsuspecting public and it really does slap you across the chops. If you're in to the style and deadpan nature of the Pet Shop Boys, Sparks or Tears for Fears but yearn for a little more fire in the belly then this is the song for you. Pulsating circular guitar riffs, dueling vocals (sung vs spoken word) and the kind of rhythm that babies are made to all collide with the energy of a Biffy Clyro wig out but still restrained within that demure framework. The only thing I can liken it to is the work of instrumental Irish duo Bicurious who absolutely love so this is right up there for me. Single of the year potential? Could be....
