I’m a sucker for a track that starts with a bare but energetic dream beat so ‘Looking For Faces’ immediately grabbed my attention with its rickety racket. The Vices are a Dutch quartet who peddle a fine line in indie-pop which takes some of the best bits of Britpop (e.g. Menswear and Suede), mixes it with the rock’n’roll swagger of SPAN and Louis XIV and throws in the gang mentality of the Libertines for good measure. Throw in a press-shot that looks like they just fell out of a thrift store and you have a band that deserve your attention.
