Dudley might not be known for
being a massively musical hotbed but relative newcomer PleasePrettyLea is doing
her best to change that. Latest release ‘Reasons’ opens with rippling keys and
some moody chords that bring the likes of Portishead or Zero 7 to mind but
PleasePrettyLea’s voice has a more sultry, smoky tone to it like she’s the
daughter of Sade that nobody knew about it. As the storytelling unfolds, the
music layers up and the vibes get stronger in a way that you might expect from
an artist with a big production team around them but PleasePrettyLea is doing
this on her own and that makes this all the more delicious. More please, much
