South London wunderkid Jerskin Fendrix
is back with new single ‘A Star Is Born’ and I wouldn’t recommend pressing play
if you’re in a library unless you want to piss off the librarian. This tracks
like a confused mule at a rave from second 1 but the DJ is playing remixes of
old kids TV theme tunes and has just got to the Grange Hill mix. Jerskin
Fendrix doesn’t sound like anyone else around at the moment and is revelling in
just having creative freedom with electro melodies and vocals that sound like someone
pulling the strings is demanding one more take at four in the morning.
Desperate, energetic, original and utterly addictive – exactly what you want
from pop in the year 2020.
