WILLE EDWARDS – SINGLE REVIEW

Wille Edwards – Houses on the Sand
Wille Edwards - Houses on the Sand

Release Date: Out Now

Frontman of Westcountry trio Wille & the Bandits, Wille Edwards, has been on a UK tour to raise money and awareness for the issue of homelessness and new single is the culmination of that tour. ‘Houses on the Sand’ opens with sparse and haunting guitar notes drifting in on the misty, cold night air before Edward’s trademark vocal adds a rasping voice to the mood music. Some light percussion soon gives way to a steady drum beat and the passion that makes Wille & the Bandits such a compelling outfit comes through in Edwards’ delivery of bold and unforgiving lyrics. This is a superbly atmospheric track with a message that we all need to hear at this time of year, cutting through the Brexit bollocks and the Christmas cheer – somewhere out there is a person just like you who’s only option tonight is to sleep in a shop doorway full of fear and loneliness. If you want to help (and you really should) then download this single – it’s pay what you feel and every little helps.
