It’s not out until the end of
September but this one is too good to sit on for a day longer, so I just had to
share it with you. The Velvet Hands come careering out of Cornwall with their
fiery brand of garage rock’n’roll and new single ‘This Feeling’ is blasting on
their car stereo with the windows rolled way down. Snarled, Zed-esque vocals
and a stabbing combination of guitars and drums get this party started and soon
enough we’re rattling around the back lanes of Cornwall in a beaten-up car in
search of like-minded party people. This is a raw spirited, honest and vital
rock’n’roll with just the right mixture of style and substance and it leaves
you in no doubt that these guys are the real deal, the genuine article and have
moved from ‘ones to watch’ straight up to ‘ones to adore’. Kings in the making.
