GRIP-LIKE VICE – SINGLE REVIEW

Grip-Like Vice – Feign Martyr
Grip-Like Vice - Feign Martyr

Release Date: 13th September 2019

Saint Austell indie boys Grip-Like Vice are back on the scene with a forthcoming new single, ‘Feign Martyr’, and you’re going to want to give it a listen. The thudding heart of the rhythm section is met by angular and unpredictable guitars that put this in the pigeonhole next to Young Knives, Dutch Uncles and Maximo Park. “She’s dragging my name around the town which makes me think that I must be famous now…but not for the reasons that I wanted” sings frontman Beren Matthews and it completes the package perfectly. This is easily the bands best work to date and certainly sets them up for an exciting 2019-20. Ones to listen out for, for sure.
