This might only be the second
release from Anna Wolf but I think it qualifies for the single of the year
long-list already. ‘Silence’ is a truly unique slice of alt-pop with Wolf’s expressive
and powerful vocal taking centre stage over some bombastic melodies. Sure, this
fits in alongside the likes of Sia, Kimbra and Karen O in terms of being a
female solo artist not afraid to push boundaries both musically and visually
(seriously, check out the video) but Wolf is a compelling and entirely
encapsulating performer in her own right. I could go on, but I think you’re
