THE BAREFOOT BANDIT – SINGLE REVIEW

The Barefoot Bandit – Floods
The Barefoot Bandit - Floods

Release Date: Out Now

The environment is, finally, big news and there are songs being written as protests break out up and down the country – something is brewing, and it feels like a glint of hope. Exmouth collective the Barefoot Bandit are at the vanguard of this movement with new single ‘Floods’ as they offer all proceeds from the release to support the Extinction Rebellion cause. Musically, this has a laid-back vibe with rolling bass notes on a bed of organs and the standard scratchy reggae guitar front and centre. The lyrical content focuses on the rising sea levels and the impact on the environment which is a worthy message and one that works well with this genre. I hope this gets through to a few ears that need to hear it of all ages but at the very least this will provide some great festival soundtrack music.
