There’s a rule of thumb in my
house and it is that if Kimbra likes it then it is probably a very good thing.
So, Norwegian outfit Hajk come with the Kimbra seal of approval and you can
colour me intrigued already. ‘Breathe’ is the new single from the Oslo five-piece
and it starts with a somewhat subdued vibe which soon opens up and blossoms in
to an alt-pop disco romp with an 80s inspired intensity. Before you know it,
this tune has stopped the world around you and you find yourself completely
immersed in this subtle but utterly beautiful world. I’ve said it before and I’ll
say it again – you can’t go wrong with Kimbra.
