Sound of the Sirens – Troubles (DMF Music)
Sound of the Sirens - Troubles

Release Date: Out Now

Don’t you just love it when your favourite artists spring new material on you and then announce a nationwide tour and a new album to start the new year off perfectly? I know I do. Devon duo Sound of the Sirens have been favourites of LWM for a long while now so the announcement of new single ‘Trouble’ is a real treat and the song itself is even better. Some clear acoustic chords, sparkling piano and then those trade-mark vocal harmonies and we’re off on another indie-folk-pop romp. There’s a maturity and a sense of assuredness that has developed since their last album, surely a result of endless touring, national airplay and exposure to more and more influences. If this is the warning shot ahead of the next album (scheduled for release in January) then I think we can expect something very special. Very special indeed.
