So, Friends is apparently not good
enough for Millennials but fortunately for the rest of us, Ruben Young grew up
in the 90s and part of that growing up process involved getting infatuated with
the spoilt girl made good heroine of the series. ‘Rachel Green’ is a chilled
love song with a mellow hip-hop beat and soft 80s chords for that real late-night
vibe which manages to avoid sounding creepy despite being proper stalky. Now,
the song is super smooth and I’d definitely keep it on if it came on the radio
but you have to watch the video to fully appreciate the joyous beauty of this
song. I was always more of a Monica guy myself but each to their own.
