Mrianda Arieh is one of those artists that is hard to place and that immediately makes me like her. Arieh’s new single ‘Impossible’ combines the quirky pop production of a Eurovision contender with the left-field artistry of Kimbra and the Baltic themes of Regina Spektor and Mae Karthauser. Dramatic vocal delivery, an infectious beat and melodies that bounce like a Sunny D fuelled three year old on a trampoline all combine to make a tune that is eccentric, sure, but it’s also hugely enjoyable and massively moreish.
