Nottingham five-piece Amusement Parks on Fire are back with new single ‘All the New Ends’ and it’s a doozy. The steady acoustic and electric guitar strum that opens this up is borne from Springsteen, the Catherine Wheel, James, Lemonheads, Elvis Costello and Frank Turner developing a sense of both laid-back energy but also a relentless and insistent momentum. The drums and the bass all add to the unfolding and wondrous world created by Amusement Parks on Fire that has the effect of both comforting and uplifting the spirits which, at the end of the longest of all winters, is something we could all do with I think.
