Venus Grrrls - Carmilla
Release Date: Out Now
It's great to have the semi-gothic charms of Venus Grrrls back in time for Halloween and their new single 'Carmilla' definitely brings the witchy vibes. Kate Bush vocals mixed with the Cure's musicianship but funnelled through a supercharger makes this track a doomy yet uplifting experience. The depth of that low slung guitar sound matched with the soaring vocals and the delay drenched production makes this a spacey listen but the gnarly guitar solo brings everything back into focus for an impressive crescendo.
