Of Shapes - Mantis
Release Date: Out Now
Montreal outfit Of Shapes are messing about on urgent and powerful new single 'Mantis' so you'd best pay attention. A throbbing bass line and snappy drums give strong Sick Joy vibes before the snarling guitars join in along with the yelping vocals that combine all the best bits of Debbie Harry, Siouxsie Sioux, and Suzi Quatro. This is leather jacket wearing, whisky drinking, and cigarette smoking rock'n'roll that fixes you in its stare from behind a pair of black sunglasses (not the creepy ones with cameras in though, never those).
