It is so, so, so depressing that this song exists but at least artists like Chloe Sofia feel empowered enough to write and sing about the the grimness imposed on them by douchebag dudes on the internet. 'Girl On The Internet' is a sadly recognisable tale for any woman using the internet these days but it's set to powerpop-punk that rattles through neon lit streets with machetes strapped to its back ready to take sweet, sweet vengeance. The stylish pop vocals are matched by 100mph beats and melodies that are the bastard children of 8-bit games and the energy of Shampoo, Sleigh Bells and L7. If the world is going to be grim then we might as well make listen to music while we plan the revolution.
