Based in Rome, Feldspar are a eight piece music machine and their new single, 'Heart Is A Ghetto', absolutely floored me on my first listen. It's almost like two bands doing one of those dual songs where on one side there is the power-pop sweetness of the verse but facing them is the gruff alt-rock rap. There are some mad influences like Republica, System Of A Down, Lush and even Limp Bizkit but my God does it work? It really works and hopefully the collective will make their way to the UK sometime soon for some live shows - take note promoters!
