UK outfit Unpeople seem to have burst on to my radar and I am absolutely delighted about that. 'Clouds' is the latest release from the quartet and vocal harmonies blend superbly atop the gentle indie melodies but, well, then things change. The eruption into full-on, balls-to-the-wall, rock-out is as thrilling as it is unexpected. The twin blast of vocal harmonies and sheer rock'n'roll brings to mind the likes of Beach Riot and Charly Bliss but having been fed through a mincer being turned by Red Hot Chili Peppers, early Incubus, and Reuben all laughing madly and sharing a bottle of Jagermeister. Unpeople seem to be one of those bands made of superbly talented individuals who all chime together perfectly and that makes me very, very excited.
