With vocals like a broken Damon Albarn or Elvis Costello, with hints of David Bowie or Peter Gabriel, Whitehouse sits at his piano with just enough left to sing this song. However, it is in the singing of this song that our protagonist finds his salvation as the chorus offers glimmers of hope and glimpses at a world beyond this moment. Beautifully sparse and sparsely beautiful.
