I have to admit that the acoustic strum at the start of this single from Italian singer-songwriter Madisine nearly inclined me to consign it to the Jeff Buckley wannabe pile. However, 'Holy Hand' has more going for it and when the bass, beat and vocals combo kicks in then you're taken somewhere completely different. This is spiraling, stomping, seductive and sinister stadium sized rocks that sways at the hips and drinks whiskey neat from the bottle. Madisine's vocal is the perfect blend of pop and rock and this song is channeling the likes of Muse, INXS and Span in terms of energy, ability and rock'n'roll chops. Superb.
