Ugly Ozo are the latest creative force to emerge from the Isle of Wight and what a force they are? 'Remains' is the debut release from sisters Jess and Boo Baker and it manages to take in goth, punk, new-wave and indie themes as well as some Dick Dale-esque guitars mixed in with Shampoo vibes in the vocal department. The bass is super fuzzy, the drums kick hard and I'm tipping Ugly Ozo to feature on a bunch of tours and festivals in the next 12 months alongside bands like Loose Articles and, of course, IoW legend Lauran Hibberd who already has them booked in for September.
