BRYAN ADAMS - SINGLE REVIEW

Bryan Adams - War Machine/Rock'n'Roll Hell
(Bad Records)

Release Date: Out Now

Now, you might think that 'War Machine' and 'Rock'n'Roll Hell' are not typical Bryan Adams titles but this is a new era for the Canadian rocker and his own label, Bad Records. That said, 'War Machine' was apparently written with Gene Simmons to be used by Kiss back in the day (that day being 1982) which makes it doubly depressing that it is still as relevant today. You can almost hear the hogs revving up under the chugging guitars, thumping drums and Adams' gravelly, rasping vocal. The CGI video showing Adams as a war hungry general adds a slightly uneasy edge to the song by an artist who's a peace loving guy......right? 'Rock'n'Roll Hell' is more laid back but still makes a plea to pull him out of the game and get him into some sort of rock'n'roll safe house so he can practice his photography and maybe take up Bonsai gardening.
