This is the debut release from Norwich collective Read the Room and based on this song alone I think there are exciting things ahead. 'Jade' features itchy guitars that switch between Biffy Clyro-esque intricacy and Incubus sized chorus riffs, there are punchy drums and the kind of vocal performance that leaves everything out on the pitch. What I love most about this, however, is that although this a seriously talented group of musicians, they don't take themselves too seriously based on the video and that is a really good sign of a band that might just go the distance.
