Dublin's Velourias have been busy making babies but have returned with a new album and, ahead of that, a new single in the shape of 'We Float Down Rivers'. This is instantly hooky riffage which soon breaks out in to a desperate, breathless indie sound with an urgent pulse at its heart and something important to say. Fans of bands like IDLES, Fontaines D.C. and Life will get on board with the raw anger and unbridled energy while the swaggering vocal delivery are more akin to a young Bono or Erotic Secrets of Pompeii. A feisty return, then, and there's more to come I'd warrant.
