ROWSIE - SINGLE REVIEW

Rowsie - Makeshift Grave

Release Date: Out Now

London quartet Rowsie drop uncompromising new single 'Makeshift Grave' as an anti-war protest song that deserves your attention. Unassuming guitars and a shuffling beat get things going with a shoe-gaze meets soft-grunge vibe and twin vocals creating a sense of harmony and juxtaposition. "First you kill the truth then you kill the people, you've got to do it in that order so nobody knows what you're up to" they sing with a sense of resignation that speaks to the desensitisation of an overloaded consumer population. An understated but honest song for a war that should never been downplayed.
