DEADLETTER - SINGLE REVIEW

DEADLETTER - The Snitching Hour (SO
Recordings)

Release Date: Out Now

The fabulous collective that is DEADLETTER are back with their kooky and twitchy indie-pop dripping in British musical reference points on new single 'The Snitching Hour'. In between the bouncing riffs, punchy drums and soaring saxophone, there are nods to the likes of Squeeze, the Zutons, the Jam, Madness and Franz Ferdinand. The biggest reference point however (and this is a big complement) is that the creativity and eccentricity here takes me back to the Ian Dury & the Blockheads and that kind of energy has been sorely lacking in the world recently.
