BIRDMAN CULT - SINGLE REVIEW

Birdman Cult - Ferryman (Donut Records)

Release Date: Out Now

Bristol's glorious noise makers Birdman Cult come roaring back with new single 'Ferryman' and it is a beast. Strapped to the humming engine of a bassline this one takes off in a cloud of dust and exhaust fumes powered by a stomping drum beat and dragging fuzzed up guitars along the dirt road. Vocally this is dirty and sneering but with the occasional dalliance in to semi-religious monastic chanting. If you're looking for a band that exists somewhere between Queens of the Stone Age and Les Anges with a very British flavour of rock'n'roll eccentricity like the love child of Lemmy and Tim Curry then Birdman Cult are here for you.
