TOKKY HORROR – SINGLE REVIEW

Tokky Horror – Godliness (Alcopop! Records)

Release Date: Out Now

Ahead of their hotly anticipated debut EP, the excellent trio Tokky Horror are releasing new single ‘Godliness’ as a little tempting treat to pique your interest. The dreamy keyboards that start this one off are soon pinned down by some Jungle inspired beats, a snaking bass line and the kind of vocals that feature soul and personality in equal measure to devastating effect. This feels like Roni Size and Neneh Cherry as remixed by Goldie and Aphex Twin in the wee small hours and that is a strong vibe if ever I heard one. The EP is out in May and then there’s a small tour penned in for the Autumn so get yourselves ready or Tokky Horror might just blow your minds.
