SPQR – SINGLE REVIEW

SPQR – Fault Lines

Release Date: Out Now

Liverpool’s SPQR grab your attention from the get-go on new single ‘Fault Lines’ which blends so many influences, sounds and styles it takes a few listens to appreciate the full beauty of this. There is the sheer creativity of Young Knives, the theatrical bent of Mansun, the sinister nature of TV shows like Inside No. 9 and the driving energy of Bloc Party. The itchy drums and irrepressible bass line are the engine of this song, embellished by pinging guitars, vocals that take on various personas and sense that just as the band fully form one idea they get bored of it and move on the next creating a never ending loop of energy and creativity.
