FRESH are the coming together of
members of Cheerbleederz and ME REX which, on the evidence of this single, is a
fine coming together indeed. ‘My Redemption Arc’ has wonderfully laid-back vibe
that is lead by the strummed guitar but the drums have other ideas and thus the
glorious juxtaposition is born. The peppy vocals grab your attention and the
minimalist lyrics really hit the spot as the skate-rock with slacker energy
draws you in and makes you want to pogo your troubles away. “I feel awful and
empty” is the key line and if you like that kind of introspective song writing
mixed with the vibes of Belly, Charlie Bliss and Weezer then you’re in for a
good time.
