Oh wow, this is an infectious
little beast. Sam Eagle’s latest release, ‘How Often?’, is one of those great
songs that layers up with a new tasty morsel every few seconds until there is a
delicious musical sandwich towering over you. A funky bass line and loose drums
get things going before Eagle’s dulcet tones join in and then the beat tightens
up a bit, some wonky guitars chime in and the whole thing just makes you want
to move. If you’re a fan of LCD Soundsystem, Talking Heads, Peter Gabriel or
Dutch Uncles then I think this will be right up your alley.
