THE BLINDERS – SINGLE REVIEW

The Blinders – Forty Days and Forty Nights
The Blinders
(Modern Sky)

Release Date: Out Now

My God but Blinders are dark, aren’t they? I mean, it’s like going on Nick Cave’s stag do in Basra dressed as the Arctic Monkeys with Bill Hicks as your room mate but there comes a point in your week when that’s exactly the mood you want. The trio’s new single ‘Forty Days and Forty Nights rattles along with skiffle-punk energy as the drums thud and rumble underneath the guitars that sear and cut like 1000 rusty spoons. It’s a rip-snorting tour through the underbelly of the soul and when you wake up you’ll find the following lyrics tattooed on your leg; “trustworthy souls are now a minute few, for forty and forty nights I’ve dreamt of killing you”.
