I’m kinda running out of
superlatives for Madison Beer’s output so it is with some trepidation that I hit
play on her new single ‘Selfish’ but, as usual, there is nothing but excellence
here. Beer is in reflective mood on this ballad which speaks from the heart as tears
roll down her cheeks and she recalls the all give and no take relationship that
was doomed from the start. The courage in this track is how bare the
arrangement is and how raw the emotion is, both visually and in the vocals,
which is what sets Madison Beer apart from other over produced and over
stylised singers currently vying for top spot. Class is the word.
