This is the debut solo single from Kiara Nelson which I
mention because it is so ridiculously polished and accomplished in every way
that you’d be forgiven for thinking she’d been doing this for years. ‘Adore You’
finds the Florida born and Finland raised artist blending the slickness of US
pop with the sharp freshness of Scandinavian melodies as the beat gets under
the skin and the bass line bubble in to your subconscious. Nelson’s voice is
assured without ever straying in to warbling as she sings of letting yourself
go to love without fearing what might happen as you jump off that emotional cliff
which makes a nice change as there have been a lot of break-up songs around
recently so it’s good to redress the balance.
