If you’re looking for a slinky little number to slip into
this weekend then might I suggest this one to turn some heads. Leanne Tennant’s
‘Bring it all Back’ blends some bluesy guitar licks with a moody, rolling synth
bass line to create a smoky atmosphere for her voice to emerge from. There’s a
purity and innocence to Tennant’s vocal that entices you in like a siren song
but that dirty bass line has a dangerous glint in its eye which makes this an
intoxicating mix. This is a track about making up after an argument and it has
that energy of simmering anger mixed with the sweet sound of forgiveness and
that’s not an easy blend to pull off in a song.
