THE WHA – SINGLE REVIEW

The Wha – Innocents
The Wha - Innocents

Release Date: Out Now

Irish upstarts The Wha are the latest export from the emerald isle and their debut single, ‘Innocents’, is cracking calling card. Getting underway with an impatient, frustrated drum beat and some twitchy guitars, this track soon bursts in to life with energy and punch that sits between the Clash and Elvis Costello with the Libertines looking on with envy. “You call it national pride, I call it genocide” is a great lyric full of youthful bluntness and no desire to shy away from the point. Three of these lads are still at school but they’ve already learnt what to do with three chords and the truth in under three minutes and that’s all the education you need in my book.

Live Dates:

1st March – Billy Burnes Bar, Kilkenny
