For the first minute of this song I was hovering over the delete button as I thought it was going to turn out to be a bland, pop-by-numbers piece by an identikit wannabe. How wrong could I be? San Diego duo El Ten Eleven have created, in ‘You Are Enough’, an uplifting piece of indie-prog-rock that affirms, breathes new life in to you and generally makes everything a little brighter. Kristian Dunn can do unholy things with his guitar and pedal array while Tim Fogarty is one of the best groove drummers I’ve heard in a long while without ever slipping off the beat. There’s grunge, indie, prog, math-rock and that groove is just all about taking the top down and heading out on the open road when you’ve just had the shittiest time and you need a change of landscape. Sorry I ever doubted you gentleman.
